SongBook Mac Progress

February 9th, 2009 4

I’ve been working on SongBook Mac lately and it is progressing well. The trouble is knowing when to stop and get a release out. My plan was to stick to the basics and get something out that Mac users could use and rely on.

I’ve failed dismally at that goal, as this screenshot shows:

A weekend productively spent though. I am enjoying browsing through my music collection album art on a large screen.

I’ve also added Apple remote support, quite handy for adjusting the volume with a nice small remote.

This sounds great. In my opinion you should release a version as soon as possible :-)

please release! we Mac users are really left out of the game right now, no desktop apps really work for playlist creation and saving.

Thanks!

Looks far better than Linn Kinsky. I am using songbook on iPhone – fast and efficient – worth every dollar spent well done. Using on two systems – at home in South Africa – Linn Majik DS/Majik I/Majik6100/Majik140 (fully active) via iMac (Leopard OS/Eyeconnect 1.6.1) wireless through Netgear router. At work in Ghana – Linn Sneaky/Katan via MacBook Pro (Leopard OS/Eyeconnect 1.6.1) wireless through Apple Time machine. Tried Twonky but could only get working via Windows Laptop and not on any Mac.

Songbook for iPhone much faster than Kinsky PDA which I also have working (work PDA).

Can’t wait for full release of Songbook for Mac, keep up good work!

Yes, please relsease a version soon and add features as you go along! I have songbook for iphone which works well, but very much looking forward to the mac app — and to be able to create playlists, give star ratings and shuffle after compilation into a playlist of both albmums, single songs, genres etc. Thanks!
