There was a problem with the security of the automatic update mechanism in SongBook Mac.
All updates are digitally signed to ensure that they are not tampered with (or corrupted during download). This process has failed with the latest release due to an incorrect signature file in the 1.5 release.
This means that the existing releases cannot install the new 1.6.2.0 release (or 1.6.1.0). The only way to resolve this issue is to do a manual install of 1.6.2.0. You can do this by downloading from here, and then dragging SongBook.app from your Downloads folder to Applications.
From then on automatic updates will work correctly.
