People use SecretBook to store all sorts of information. Passwords are just the start. Credit Card details, SSN numbers, Software Licenses, e-mail account details, product registration codes and serial numbers are all easily stored in SecretBook's flexible database. Most people use SecretBook for personal use, but businesses also use SecretBook for managing their customers passwords or for managing software licenses.

Your data is your data

SecretBook uses the industry standard 256-bit AES encryption to protect your data, but that is just the start. SecretBook takes extra care to never decrypt your information unless absolutely necessary. Simple tools encrypt the entire data file in one operation and therefore have to decrypt everything to view just one item. SecretBook is based on a Core Data database with all fields individually encrypted. We go to great lengths to protect your data from all sorts of attacks. For a start SecretBook does not integrate with other applications such web browsers, that means you always know where your data is and who has access to it. Within SecretBook we only decrypt fields when it is absolutely necessary and then erase the memory when we are done.

Easily Organised

Strong security does not have to be inconvenient. SecretBook puts you in control of how you want to organise your data. With unlimited groups and subgroups you can easily organise your secrets in a way that makes sense to you. Within a secret you can add your own fields, you are not limited to the standard set. This is useful in cases where sites don't have a standard password, such as internet banks that may require more than one form of identification. Even with all this organisation it is sometimes quicker to search for your data. SecretBook supports searching both within the application and via Spotlight search.

Now you can take your secrets with you on your iPhone. Easily sync just the data you want to take with you for viewing and editing on your iPhone or iPod Touch. Mobile SecretBook uses the same strong encryption included with the Mac OS X version of SecretBook and wireless two way sync makes it easy to update your iPhone or your Mac. Have quick and secure access to your bank account details, passport number, passwords, just about anything.

SecretBook is more secure than other options

SecretBook won't ask for your Administrator password, which is good because that means that SecretBook does not have access to modify your system or hook itself in to areas that you don't know about. SecretBook doesn't go snooping around your system, it keeps to itself so you can be sure you know what it is doing. There are no InputManagers or plugins doing who knows what in the background. SecretBook keeps to itself, which makes it more secure.

SecretBook is so self contained you can run it from a USB Memory device.
